Saanane Island National Park

Welcome to Saanane Island National Park

Welcome to Saanane Island National Park, a stunning island sanctuary located right in the waters of Lake Victoria. Covering a compact 2.18 square kilometers, it holds the unique distinction of being the only national park in Tanzania situated entirely within city limits. The island was named in honor of Mzee Saanane Chawandi, a local farmer and fisherman who once lived here. We are thrilled to welcome you, and your spirit of adventure motivates us to provide an unforgettable experience. Enjoy your stay!
